Inspiration For Final Design

Alexander McQueen Autumn Winter 2015-16

When looking for inspiration for my final design I came across this catwalk from autumn winter collection in 2015. I think this really reflects the type of makeup used in Elizabethan times because of the very pale completion  I really love this look because they have made in contemporary by using contouring under the cheekbones and also making the eyes quite dark. Another thing that I really love about this look is that by them darkening the eyes and taking away the eye brows it makes the models look lifeless and drained. I think Elizabethans wanted this look because they didn't want to give too much away. Queen Elizabethan always look quite stern and scary because of the fact that they had no eye brows which take all emotion away in the face.
I think in my design I'm going to use the supra colour through the eyebrows because I like the look of no emotion because I think this really reflects the Elizabethans in a more modern way.
